Senior Business Application Specialist, LKQ Europe

Role overview:

The European Senior Business Application Specialist will be responsible for the provision of IT solutions to the European Components business (formerly known as Private Label). The Senior Business Application Specialist will identify the business needs, proposing solutions, coordinate and supervise the delivery and ongoing maintenance of the solutions.

The Senior Business Application Specialist will work with a team for the design, planning, and maintenance of the business applications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Gaining a deep understanding of the private label industry business, processes, and strategy
  • Understanding and analysing business requirements concerning Components change and initiatives, within the Enterprise functional area and carry out Fit Gap analysis, to Target Operating Model for the Components business
  • Ensuring effective technical co-design of solutions (together with other relevant LKQ Europe IT departments) for all change initiatives
  • Leading and managing a team of specialists dedicated to design, planning and maintenance of the Components business applications
  • Ensuring the provision of necessary training with regard to new/existing functionality of the Components business IT systems
  • Ensuring the provision of 2nd and 3rd level support for resolving issues related to the Components business IT systems
  • Ensuring compliance with IT Security & Compliance, Enterprise IT Architecture and other effective standards and policies

Key and desired skills:

  • Broad IT experience across multiple functions of Enterprise IT system (ERP preferable)
  • Project based experience of the management and deliver IT solutions
  • Team-working capabilities and management experience (~2-5 staff)
  • Fluent English and German speaking, understanding and written skills. Dutch speaking would be desirable
  • Excellent communication skills within both written and oral presentation capabilities
  • High flexibility & resilience, capable of working under pressure
  • Demonstrated analytics and structured working methods
  • ERP AX 2009/2012 knowledge
  • Knowledge in SCM and Planning process
